Pollenca or Pollensa is a locality in the Island of Majorca, with a population of about 20,000 and has one of the richest histories in the Mediterranean Sea. Fenicians, romans and arabs, etc, passed through their ports. Today Puerto Pollenca or Pollensa as some simply call it is a beautiful city in the north of the Island of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands, Spain. It is one of the most important holiday destinations. It has many things to offer it's guests...sea, mountains, culture, leisure, fun, and plenty of space to take relaxing walks. Above all it is a place to enjoy your holidays to the maximum.
Pollenca has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from when we speak of it's gastronomy. You'll find traditional Mallorquin dishes, as well as many international restaurants that have began to grow due to the tourist popular demand. You will also not have any problems finding an accommodation. There are plenty of apartments to choose from, hotels, luxury villas, chalets, rural homes and hostels. You can choose to be close to the sea, in the city or in the mountains, it all depends on you and what you want. It is definately a paradise for nature lovers as there are beautiful views to contemplate, and trails and beaches to go trekking in or bike riding.
Pollenca also has many isolated nudist beaches as well as urban more frequented beaches, restaurants in which to enjoy delicious meals as well as taste the traditional mallorquin products like "butifarra" and "sobrasada". |
